Hi everyone! EEK! It’s Friday and Halloween, but I don’t have a Halloween card for today’s post! It’s because I’ve got to refill my birthday card stash :) However, I am SOOOOO happy Halloween is on a Friday so I don’t have to deal with students nursing a sugar hangover tomorrow. LOL :) Today’s card is using the brand new Viva La Verve sketch. Head over to the blog to see more inspiration and then join in the fun! Have a great weekend!

LOL. I’m not for giving out Halloween cards, but they are fun to make. I remember being so excited making a black doily for this card last year. It’s only fitting I post it before Halloween is over. Have a great day! See you tomorrow for the next Viva La Verve sketch :)

Hi friends! Time for another rewind as I now know there will be no slowing down this semester :) HA! This was last year’s card I gave to the sweet couple whose farm we visit each year. We’re going again tomorrow! It’s one of my favourite field trips! They grow white pumpkins too so I always grab one of those. Hope you have a lovely day :) Thanks for stopping by!

Greetings everyone! Well, it’s time to dig out the Christmas stamps for awhile and get going on those cards! The Papertrey Ink Blog Hop challenge this time is to use one of the non traditional Christmas colour combos. Hmmm, this one might actually be one of my traditional ones if you know the colours I love :) LOL
I’ve got the new poinsettia set on its way to me, but in the meantime, I don’t mind using the classic one released a few years ago :) It’s still a staple for many of my Christmas cards :) An aqua and pink poinsettia! ACK! Thanks for stopping by and see you along the hop!

Happy Friday everyone! I’ve got a lovely Professional Day today and will be spending it with the other Grade One teacher at our school. She’s new this year and full of fun and great ideas. I’ve been wanting to turn this gorgeous dress from the Masquerade set into a bridal gown so this was my chance. Head over to the Viva La Verve blog for more samples and then join in the fun! The winner each month wins $100 in Verve bucks! WOW! Have a great start to your weekend!

Happy Wednesday friends! I’m back with my second card using some more new buttons from Buttonlovers.com. Christie sent me a whack of fun new product and a few other little fun packs. I wanted to use them all! The only way this could happen was to use them with a negative die cut :) I started with one of the PTI beautiful butterfly dies and cut into a clean piece of white cardstock. Then I lined up the die cut with the negative image to use as a guide as I filled up the space with all these gorgeous Funky Ovals Blister and Pretty Mini Hearts buttons.
I didn’t want any white showing, so I die cut another butterfly out of raspberry fizz cardstock to go underneath the buttons.
This sentiment from the Verve set Button Best was the perfect choice for a sweet button butterfly card. Don’t you agree? If you love buttons like I do, head over to Buttonlovers.com and see all the fun buttons! Thanks to Christie and Button Lovers for finding me and my little button loving blog :) Now I just need a company to fill the “bling” addiction I have! HA! Have a great day everyone!

Good morning everyone! This week I’m finally able to share a couple of cards I made last month with some goodies that Christie from Buttonslovers.com sent me! She somehow stumbled upon my blog “Buttons and Bling” and thought her product and my blog title were a match made in heaven. I agree! She sent me this fabulous stash of goodies to play with and a sweet “hand written” note. I just LOVE those!
She also gave me full creative reign so I thought I’d turn some of the small buttons from Soft Stars Blister and beads from Embellishments Brights into “shaker fillers.” Then I went back for some of the larger buttons from Embellishments Brights to accent the shaker.
Head over to the Button Lovers store to see all the whole new line of buttons! Have fun! I’ll be back soon with another fun button card!

Welcome to Verve's October Release Retrospective Blog Hop! The Verve Divas are hopping today and serving up some more inspiration using the October release stamps & dies! Besides a look-see at some really nifty cards, there's also a comment prize up for grabs!
I’ve used the Inspire Hope set again to create this serene card for any occasion that calls for uplifting someone’s spirits. I pulled out the Sprightly Sprigs Die Set to help make some 3D leaves that hold the paper roses. Some Shine Bright Sequin Mix always finishes off a card perfectly :)
Want to win some shiny new Verve? We're giving away a $40 gift voucher to one lucky commenter along the hop, so be sure to leave a shout out in the comments as you hop about.

We have a new sponsor, The Twinery, for the Curtain Call Inspiration: Burlap Banner! A randomly selected participant in the Burlap Banner challenge will receive a fabulous bundle from The Twinery, while the LEAD will be invited as a Guest Designer in a future challenge!
I went very “literal” with the inspiration photo…can you blame me? I love those banners against the clean background so tried to create the same look. I’m using some Twinery twine in cantaloupe for the ties on my sweet little banner :)
The Twinery Designers, our Guest Designer and the Curtain Call Crew have lots of additional inspiration for you today! Make sure you visit each of the designers' blogs!

Hello friends! If you’ve arrived from Amber’s blog you are right on track. Chaitali has rounded up some of her crafty friends to help spread BC awareness. This is a cause close to her heart after her mom was diagnosed with BC earlier this year. She designed the Pink Power set for her mom with a lot of love. She is sponsoring this hop with the set for the hop guests. We also have some of the Verve DT playing in the hop today!
On my pinkalicious card, I’ve use the brand new Inspire Hope and Pink Power sets from Verve. I’m mixing and matching the powerful words from both sets to create a chalkboard-ish panel wrapped in my own “pink ribbon” and finished off with some Shine Bright Sequin Mix.
Spliltcoast Stampers is also having a SCS Hope You Can Cling To event so be sure to check out all the challenge and prize info! Thanks for visiting! Now head over to Lydia’s blog to finish off the hop. Have a great day and Happy Thanksgiving to all my Canadian peeps!
Maureen (you are here!)
p.s. I’m also hosting the Diva Dare over on the Verve Blog so be sure to head over there after this hop!

Hi friends! Wow, what a couple of busy weeks I’ve had. Thanks for not thinking I’d fallen off the planet, just super busy with work and school. I’m keeping my eyes on the prize, though, so busy is good right now. After an all-day field trip on Tuesday, I was too tuckered to do anything but stamp! HA! I broke out some new Verve and went to town creating the first Halloween card of the year with the Masquerade set and Mask Die Set along with the Pennant Trim Die. I’m playing with Stacey’s sketch from the Viva La Verve blog. Be sure to head over there to find out how you could win some BIG Verve goodness by playing with the sketches this month. Take care and see you soon!

Welcome to Verve's October Diva Inspirations Hop. It's the 5th of the month and that means it's time for the Divas to serve up some fresh inspiration with their Verve stamps! Leave some comment love along the hop spots for a chance to win a prize, then grab some stamps and play along with our October inspiration challenge for another chance to win!
This month's challenge is entitled Fall Fancy:
The air is crisp and the colors are warm – celebrate fall with a spook-tacular creation or a thoughtful thank you using Fall as your inspiration!
It’s easy to be inspired by fall when you have a whole lotta gorgeous Verve stamps to choose from. I pulled out the flowers from Be Blessed and the matching Petal Points Die Set to create a few sunflower inspired blooms. Then I used the Every Season Plain Jane for my sentiment and some gorgeous Stormy Skies Ribbon Collection ribbon to wrap around the whole card.
Need a little more inspiration? Check out the blogs linked below to see what the other Divas did with the challenge! It's sure to be a treat, and speaking of treats, we've got a prize for one lucky commenter along the hop! Check out the Verve Blog today for all the prize info and deadlines!
Hey everyone! I have an exciting post for you! When I heard Stephanie over at Clearly Besotted Stamps was lining up designers for her 2nd Anniversary celebration, I invited myself! LOL I had to step down from the DT last September as I started my Masters :( However, I’ve been keeping close tabs on all of the CBS success :) So today I want to wish Stephanie and the DT a HUGE Happy 2nd Anniversary :) Stephanie sent me some super cute Christmas stamps to play with. I’ve use a sentiment form Most Wonderful and the wreath from Hanging Around along with the matching die.
Want to win a GC from Clearly Besotted? Each of the designers below will be giving away a Clearly Besotted £20 (approx. $30 USD) e-giftcard on their blog so be sure to comment by midnight October 7th. As well, there will be a grand prize of a £100 Clearly Besotted e-giftcard, randomly picked from all comments left on all blogs.
Head over to the Clearly Besotted Blog for all the details! Thanks for stopping by!
