Hi everyone! EEK! It’s Friday and Halloween, but I don’t have a Halloween card for today’s post! It’s because I’ve got to refill my birthday card stash :) However, I am SOOOOO happy Halloween is on a Friday so I don’t have to deal with students nursing a sugar hangover tomorrow. LOL :) Today’s card is using the brand new Viva La Verve sketch. Head over to the blog to see more inspiration and then join in the fun! Have a great weekend!

LOL. I’m not for giving out Halloween cards, but they are fun to make. I remember being so excited making a black doily for this card last year. It’s only fitting I post it before Halloween is over. Have a great day! See you tomorrow for the next Viva La Verve sketch :)

Hi friends! Time for another rewind as I now know there will be no slowing down this semester :) HA! This was last year’s card I gave to the sweet couple whose farm we visit each year. We’re going again tomorrow! It’s one of my favourite field trips! They grow white pumpkins too so I always grab one of those. Hope you have a lovely day :) Thanks for stopping by!

Greetings everyone! Well, it’s time to dig out the Christmas stamps for awhile and get going on those cards! The Papertrey Ink Blog Hop challenge this time is to use one of the non traditional Christmas colour combos. Hmmm, this one might actually be one of my traditional ones if you know the colours I love :) LOL
I’ve got the new poinsettia set on its way to me, but in the meantime, I don’t mind using the classic one released a few years ago :) It’s still a staple for many of my Christmas cards :) An aqua and pink poinsettia! ACK! Thanks for stopping by and see you along the hop!

Happy Friday everyone! I’ve got a lovely Professional Day today and will be spending it with the other Grade One teacher at our school. She’s new this year and full of fun and great ideas. I am so looking forward to collaborating with her today about our little 6 year olds! Today’s card is for this week’s Viva La Verve sketch. I’ve been wanting to turn this gorgeous dress from the Masquerade set into a bridal gown so this was my chance. Head over to the Viva La Verve blog for more samples and then join in the fun! The winner each month wins $100 in Verve bucks! WOW! Have a great start to your weekend!
what’s in it?

Happy Wednesday friends! I’m back with my second card using some more new buttons from Buttonlovers.com. Christie sent me a whack of fun new product and a few other little fun packs. I wanted to use them all! The only way this could happen was to use them with a negative die cut :) I started with one of the PTI beautiful butterfly dies and cut into a clean piece of white cardstock. Then I lined up the die cut with the negative image to use as a guide as I filled up the space with all these gorgeous Funky Ovals Blister and Pretty Mini Hearts buttons.
I didn’t want any white showing, so I die cut another butterfly out of raspberry fizz cardstock to go underneath the buttons.
This sentiment from the Verve set Button Best was the perfect choice for a sweet button butterfly card. Don’t you agree? If you love buttons like I do, head over to Buttonlovers.com and see all the fun buttons! Thanks to Christie and Button Lovers for finding me and my little button loving blog :) Now I just need a company to fill the “bling” addiction I have! HA! Have a great day everyone!

Good morning everyone! This week I’m finally able to share a couple of cards I made last month with some goodies that Christie from Buttonslovers.com sent me! She somehow stumbled upon my blog “Buttons and Bling” and thought her product and my blog title were a match made in heaven. I agree! She sent me this fabulous stash of goodies to play with and a sweet “hand written” note. I just LOVE those!
She also gave me full creative reign so I thought I’d turn some of the small buttons from Soft Stars Blister and beads from Embellishments Brights into “shaker fillers.” Then I went back for some of the larger buttons from Embellishments Brights to accent the shaker.
Head over to the Button Lovers store to see all the whole new line of buttons! Have fun! I’ll be back soon with another fun button card!
